Abstract:

My Diploma Thesis deals with inter-company comparison of top US biotech and pharmaceutical leaders. The objective of my Final Thesis is to evaluate financial performance of top US 5 leading pharmaceutical (and biotechnology) companies in terms of its capitalization and revenue generated over last five years. I will endeavour to compare performance results within the time and relatively industry leaders. The aim of theoretical part is to clarify the methodology used in preparing of financial analysis, and to encompass and explain various analytical tools and methods, which I will use thereafter. In practical part, available and reliable information on particular companies will be collected, reviewed and investigated to perform a comprehensive view over the problem. This will be done by means of primary and secondary processing of financial data. In its turn, that would allow me to compare corporations’ profitability, liquidity, operating efficiency and solvency measures. At the end of thesis, I will give some suggestions and recommendations on improvement of companies’ financial position. In addition, I would make relevant forecasts on future performance of those companies.
