Cieľom diplomovej práce je vyhodnotiť doterajší vývoj bankového sektoru v Českej republike a jeho porovnanie so Slovenskou republikou, so zameraním i na private banking a jeho možný rozvoj. Prvá časť diplomovej práce je venovaná samotnému vývoju bankových sektorov v Českej i Slovenskej republike, a to v historických súvislostiach.
