Tato práce pojednává o angloamerickém autorovi Aldousovi L. Huxleym, a zejména o jeho dvou knihách, Konec civilizace: aneb Překrásný nový svět a Ostrov. Tyto romány jsou analyzovány a srovnávány z několika hledisek, jež se všechny týkají různých aspektů života obyvatel světů, v nich popsaných.
