Breast Disease after Childbirth

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o onemocnění prsu po porodu, konkrétně o zánětlivém onemocnění, jinak také nazývaném jako mastitida. Hlavním cílem práce je vyhledat a analyzovat, jaké jsou dostupné informace o léčebných metodách a intervencích při vzniku zánětu prsu u žen po porodu. Dále si tato práce klade za dílčí cíle vyhledat a analyzovat dostupné informace o patogenech a faktorech zapříčiňující vznik zánětu prsu po porodu, o operativních zákrocích, které jsou využívány při terapii prsního abscesu a také o alternativních metodách a prevenci vzniku zánětu prsu po porodu. Byla zvolena metodika přehledové studie, kdy bylo hodnoceno a následně porovnáváno 27 odborných článků, z nichž byly interpretovány výsledky. Výstupy z těchto dostupných informací si dávají za cíl poskytnout ucelený pohled na etiologii nemoci, účinnou léčbu a možnou prevenci zánětu prsu po porodu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with breast disease after childbirth, specifically with an inflammatory disease, also known as mastitis. The main objective of the thesis is to find and analyze what information is available on treatment methods and interventions for the development of mastitis in women after childbirth. Furthermore, this thesis aims to find and analyze available information on pathogens and factors causing mastitis after childbirth, on surgical procedures used in treatment of breast abscess, and on alternative methods and prevention of the development of mastitis after childbirth. The methodology of a review study was chosen, in which 27 professional articles were evaluated and then compared. The results were then interpreted based on these articles. The findings from this available information aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the etiology, effective treatment, and potential prevention of postpartum mastitis.
