The Issue of Indications of Medical Emergency Service Departures

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku aktivace linky tísňového volání a výrazným nárůstem počtu výjezdů zdravotnické záchranné služby. Práce se dále zabývá analýzou efektivity využívání zdravotnické záchranné služby k účelům, k nimž nebyla primárně zřízena. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části – teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část poskytuje náhled do problematiky neindikovaných výjezdů zdravotnické záchranné služby. Je zde vysvětlen pojem zdravotnická záchranná služba a popsán současný stav systému záchranné služby ČR. Dále jsou v této části popsány možné příčiny nárůstu počtu výjezdů, včetně zdůraznění práv a povinností poskytovatele. V neposlední řadě jsou podrobně popsány vybrané ekonomické souvislosti v problematice neindikovaných výjezdů. V teoretické části jsou komplexně popsána praktická, etická, ekonomická i demografická hlediska této problematiky. Praktická část je založena na kvantitativním výzkumu s využitím dvou dotazníků. První dotazník byl adresován laické veřejnosti, druhý příslušníkům zdravotnické záchranné služby. Metoda sběru dat byla zvolena s ohledem na existujících statistik o četnosti výjezdů záchranné služby k případům různé naléhavosti. V konečné části jsou ve vyhodnocení dat a interpretaci výsledků zohledněny odborné diskuze s profesionály z oboru se zaměřením na to, jak moc jsou touto problematikou psychicky i fyzicky ovlivňováni při každodenním výkonu zaměstnání.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of emergency hotline activation and the significant increase in the number of emergency medical transports. The work also analyses the effectiveness of the use of the emergency medical service for purposes for which it was not primarily established. The work is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, an overview on the issue of non-emergency transports by the emergency medical service is given. It explains the concept of the emergency medical service and the current state of the Czech emergency service system. It also describes possible causes of the increase in transports with respect to the rights and obligations of the provider. Furthermore, the importance of economic context in this issue is extensively explained. The theoretical part thus considers practical, ethical, economic, and demographic aspects of this issue. The practical part is based on quantitative research using two questionnaires. The first questionnaire was addressed to the general public, the second to members of the medical rescue service. The method of data collection was chosen with regard to existing statistics on the frequency of emergency service calls for varying urgency cases. In the final part, in the evaluation of the data and the interpretation of the results, expert discussions with professionals from the field are taken into account, focusing on how much they are psychologically and physically influenced by this issue in their daily performance.
