Study of infiltrating water interaction on contact between tunnels lining and rock environment

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá interakcemi vody s betonem a negativními důsledky těchto interakcí. Systém voda-beton byl prozkoumán studiem experimentů ve vsádkovém reaktoru, tak i na reálném příkladu tunelu Panenská. Získaná data byla vyhodnocována pomocí geochemického modelování programu Geochemist´s Workbench® 7.0. Bylo zjištěno, že rozpouštění minerálu portlanditu obsaženého v betonu podstatně zvyšuje koncentrace vápníku ve vodách a zapříčiňuje prudký nárůst pH. Vysoký obsah vápníku ve vodách s obsahem karbonátových látek má za následek srážení kalcitu. Beton je velice reaktivní a uvolňuje do vody i další složky, které mezi sebou dále reagují a v menší míře přispívají k tvorbě precipitátů (ettringit, siderit, magnezit, brucit, jílové minerály).

Abstract:

The work deals with interactions of water with concrete and the negative consequences of these interactions. The system water-concrete was investigated by studying of the experiments in a batch reactor, and in the real example Panenská tunnel. The obtained data were evaluated by using geochemical modeling program Geochemist's Workbench® 7.0. It was found that the dissolution of mineral portlandite contained in concrete substantially increases the concentration of calcium in the water and causes a sharp rise pH. High concentration of calcium in water with content of carbonate substances has resulted in precipitation of calcite. Concrete is very reactive and releases into the water other components that also react with each other and in a lesser extent contribute to formation of precipitates (ettringite, siderite, magnesite, brucite, clay minerals).
