The role of an internet in a knowledge of pregnant women

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rolí internetu v informovanosti těhotných žen. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, zda těhotné ženy využívají pro získávání informací o těhotenství internet a v jakém rozsahu. Dalším cílem je zjistit, jaké informace o těhotenství těhotné ženy vyhledávají nejčastěji, do jaké míry těmto informacím důvěřují, zda by pro ně mohl být internet postradatelný při získávání informací, a zda lékař odkazuje těhotnou ženu na internetové nebo jiné zdroje. Teoretická část stručně popisuje komunikaci ve vztahu k internetu, dále pak popisuje internet, jeho využití a možnosti. V neposlední řadě se zabývá tím, co těhotná žena prožívá během těhotenství, jaký je způsob získávání informací, je zde uvedený seznam webových stránek pro těhotné a co zhruba obsahují. V praktické části je zpracován nestandardizovaný dotazník s cílem zjistit, jaká je role internetu v informovanosti těhotných žen. Analýza získaných dat zjistila, že téměř všechny těhotné ženy využívají internet jako jeden ze zdrojů k získávání informací o těhotenství a více než polovina žen se nejvíce informací o těhotenství dozvěděla z internetu.

Abstract:

This thesis is describing a role of the internet in the awareness of pregnant women. The primary purpose was to research, whether pregnant women are using internet to searching for information about pregnancy or not and at what scale. Secondary purpose was to find out which information are searched by pregnant women as the most frequent, at what level they trust those information, if the internet could be expendable for them and if their doctor is leading them to internet as one of the sources. Teoretical part briefly describe communication in relationship to internet, and it is describing internet in common, its usage and possibilities. Last but not least the work is in this section describing feelings of pregnant women during pregnancy, ways of searching for information, and there are also listed web pages for pregnant women and their content. Practical part is describing processed non-standardized qustionnaire about a role of the internet in the awareness of pregnant women. Analysis proved that pregnant women use the internet as one of sources of awareness in their pregnancy and more than half of them gain most information from the internet.
