Breastfeeding Support in Perioperative Care

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou podpory kojení v perioperační péči. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na popis základních údajů o kojení, na možnosti ve stravování a krmení dětí a velká část práce vysvětluje specifickou péči o kojené děti a jejich matky v perioperační péči. V empirické části jsou interpretovány výsledky analýzy kvalitativního výzkumu provedeného metodou hloubkových rozhovorů s matkami operovaných dětí prostřednictvím výpočetních technologií. Cílem diplomové práce bylo prozkoumat, jaká úroveň podpory kojení je poskytovaná během perioperační péče v českých nemocničních zařízeních a jakým způsobem, či do jaké míry může ovlivnit perioperační proces kojení matek. Součástí práce je také shrnutí aktuálních světových poznatků a doporučení v problémových oblastech v poskytování podpory kojení během perioperační péče, zjištěných z výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issue of breastfeeding support in perioperative care. The theoretical part is focused on the description of the basic information about breastfeeding and its possibilities in feeding children. Large part of the thesis explains specific care for breastfed children and their mothers in perioperative care. The empirical part is based on the interpretation of data collected by interviewing mothers of operated children. Interviews were conducted through information technologies done in the qualitative research paradigm. The aim of the thesis is to investigate the level of breastfeeding support provided during the perioperative care in Czech hospitals and the level of influence on how or how much the perioperative process could affect breastfeeding of mothers. The work also includes a summary of recent international findings and recommendations in problem areas in providing breastfeeding support during the perioperative care, which were identified from the research.
