The patients' satisfaction with epidural analgesic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na spokojenost pacientů s kontinuální epidurální analgezií v Masarykově nemocnici v Ústí nad Labem. V praktické části práce je popsána pooperační bolest se svou patofyziologií, ovlivňujícími faktory a následky nedostatečného tlumení pooperační bolesti. Zároveň jsou v této části práce popsány možnosti hodnocení bolesti a léčba pooperační bolesti. Důležitou kapitolu tvoří epidurální analgezie, ve které je popsána technika, kontraindikace, komplikace a ošetřování pacientů s kontinuální epidurální analgezií z pohledu sestry. Empirická část práce je věnována dotazníku vlastní konstrukce, který měl za cíl zmapovat aktuální stav spokojenosti pacientů s kontinuální epidurální analgezií v Masarykově nemocnici v Ústí nad Labem. Ze správně vyplněných 79 dotazníků jsou zpracovány grafy a tabulky. Výsledky průzkumného šetření jsou detailně rozebrány v diskusi. Bakalářská práce také obsahuje doporučení pro praxi, která vzešla z výsledků dotazníku a návrh klinického doporučeného postupu ošetřovatelské péče u pacientů s kontinuální epidurální analgezií.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis is focusing on patients satisfaction with continuous epidural analgesia in Masaryk hospitál in Ústí nad Labem. The practical part of thesis describes the pathophysiology of post-operative pain, factors that can affect it and consequences of insufficient analgesia. This part also describes the different modalities of postoperative analgesia and different methods by which a patient can express the level of pain. This thesis focuses on epidural analgesia. It describes the different techniques of of epidural analgesia, contraindications, complications, and a point of view of nurses that follows epidural analgesia post operatively. The main part of the thesis focuses on patients satisfaction with post-operative epidural analgesia. A questionnaire was used to evaluete the satusfaction of patients with continuous epidural analgesia. There were 79 questionnaires that could be evalueted and used in the statistics. Results of the questionnaure are thoroughly elaborated in the Discussion Based on the results, the thesis contains recommendations for every day practice and a proposal for guidelines that can be used to imporve the effectivness of post operative epidural analgesia and increase patient satisfaction with continuous epidural analgesia.
