The use of the occupational therapy in the social therapy workshop for people with psychiatric diagnosis

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou ergoterapie u osob s psychiatrickou diagnózou. Práce je členěna do dvou částí. První část je teoretická, druhá část je tvořena kazuistikou muže se schizoafektivní poruchou. Informace o klientovi jsem získala pomocí rozhovoru, pozorování a testů. K vyšetření oblasti ADL jsem použila Barthel index k vyšetření kognitivních funkcí jsem použila Addenbrookský kognitivní test. Kineziologický rozbor jsem vytvořila aspekcí (držení, konfigurace, trofika) a palpací (hybnost, tonus, svalová síla). Vyšetřila jsem také úchopy dle Kapandjiho. Výsledky testování odhalily nedostatky zejména v oblasti instrumentálních ADL a v oblasti pozornosti a paměti. Odhalily také špatné držení těla. Pro ergoterapeutické intervence jsem tedy zvolila nácvik kognitivních funkcí zaměřený na paměť a pozornost a nácvik vaření a obsluhy kuchyně v sociálně terapeutické dílně. K zlepšení oblasti ADL jsem využila cvičnou kuchyni, kterou sociálně terapeutická dílna disponuje. Pro zlepšení nevyhovující postury jsem použila prvky dechových cvičení a LTV.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of occupational therapy for people with mental illness. The bachelor thesis is divided into the two parts. The first part is theoretical, the second part consists of a case report of a man with a schizoaffective disorder. I got the information about the klient through interviewing, observationing and testing. To examine the ADL area, I used the Barthel index. To examine cognitive functions, I used the Addenbrook Cognitive Test. Through aspection (hold, configuration, throphics) and palpation (momentum, tone and muscle strenght). I have also examined the grips (Kapandji) I made the kinesiological analysis. The results of testing have revealed deficit especially in the area of instrumental ADLs and in the area of attention, memory and orientation. The entrance examination has also revealed the bad posture. For the occupational therapy interventions, I have chosen cognitive function training focused on the memory and attention and training of practice skills of cooking and serving the kitchen in the social therapeutic workshop.
