TV Genus - the way from the independent TV station to the programme network R1

Abstract:

Televize Genus zaujímá v Libereckém kraji od poloviny devadesátých let výhradní postavení na poli regionálního vysílání. S nástupem digitalizace v Česku byla konfrontována se zcela novou situací, která na podzim roku 2008 vyústila v její začlenění do televizní sítě R1. R1 Genus doposud vysílá na analogovém kanálu televize Prima a v rámci ranního bloku digitální televize R1. K 1. červnu 2010 se však stávající situace změní a dvacetiminutovou zpravodajskou relaci budou moci diváci sledovat již jen digitálně. Tato práce se orientuje na vývoj konkrétní zpravodajské stanice a detailně popisuje chod televize lokálního charakteru, přičemž jsem vycházela z vlastních pracovních zkušeností v daném médiu. Mým cílem je předložit čtenářům ucelený pohled na problematiku fungování regionální televize na pozadí majetkových i technologických změn, které přinesly poslední dva roky.

Abstract:

Since the mid-nineties TV Genus occupies an exclusive position in the field of regional broadcasting in the Liberec region. With the advent of digitization in the Czech Republic it was faced with an entirely new situation which resulted in the autumn of 2008 in its incorporation into the television network R1. Till now R1 Genus broadcasts on TV Prima´s analog channel and in the morning block of digital television R1. On the 1st of june 2010 is the current situation ging to change and viewers will be able to watch the twenty-minute newscast only digitally. This work focuses on the development of a specific news station, and describes the operation of local television in detail, whereas I drew from my experiences in the medium. I aim to provide readers with a comprehensive view at the issue of the functioning of regional television in the background of property and technological changes, which the last two years brought.
