The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to present characteristic features of the director Darren Aronofsky´s work, focusing on his last feature film mother!. The task of the thesis will also be to find the connection between this film, extreme cinema, and conventions of psychological horror. Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je uviesť charakteristické znaky tvorby režiséra Darrena Aronofskeho so sústredením sa na jeho posledný celovečerný film mother!. Úlohou práce bude taktiež zistiť prepojenie tohto filmu s extrémnou kinematografiou a konvenciami psychologického hororu.
