German citizenship: claim, acquisition, loss and recovery. On dual nationality in the German-Czech context based on an exemplary study

Abstract:

The title of this bachelor's thesis is German citizenship: claim, acquisition, loss and recovery. On dual nationality in the German-Czech context based on an exemplary study. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the history of German citizenship up to 1990, brings closer the development of civil law since 1871, the acquisition of citizenship through legitimization, the development of naturalization numbers and dual citizenship. Furthermore, the current legal situation regarding acquisition, loss and reacquisition is described. Subsequently, this part of the bachelor thesis deals with an exemplary study of dual citizenship in the German-Czech context. At the end, current events and possible upcoming changes in the German Citizenship Act are analyzed. The practical part was carried out using empirical data collection in the form of a standardized questionnaire among German nationals. The questionnaire contained questions about the current legal situation, the level of knowledge and the attitude of the respondents. Furthermore, questions were asked about the upcoming changes and the respondents were asked about their opinion on them. Finally, the results of the data collection were described and some specific answers of the interviewees were documented.

Abstract:

Název této bakalářské práce je Německé občanství: nárok, nabytí, ztráta a opětovné získání. O dvojím státním občanství v německo-českém kontextu na základě případové studie. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části - teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se zabývá historií německého občanství do roku 1990, přibližuje vývoj občanského práva od roku 1871, získání občanství prostřednictvím legitimizace, vývoj naturalizačních čísel a dvojí občanství. Dále je popsána současná právní situace ohledně nabytí, ztráty a opětovného získání. Následně se tato část bakalářské práce zabývá případovou studií dvojího občanství v německo-českém kontextu. Na závěr je analyzováno aktuální dění a možné nadcházející změny v německém zákoně o státním občanství. Praktická část byla provedena pomocí empirického sběru dat formou standardizovaného dotazníku mezi německými státními příslušníky. Dotazník obsahoval otázky k současné právní situaci, úrovni znalostí a postoji respondentů. Dále byly položeny otázky k chystaným změnám a respondenti byli dotázáni na jejich názor na ně. Nakonec byly popsány výsledky sběru dat a zdokumentovány některé konkrétní odpovědi dotazovaných.
