Abortion as a social phenomenon and its impact on the psyche of women

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje oblasti interrupce a jejímu potenciálnímu dopadu na psychiku žen, je také zaměřena na frekvenci výskytu psychických potíží po potratu a existenci postabortivního syndromu. Teoretická část se zabývá obecnou definicí tématu interrupce, metodami provádění, nabízí pohled na interrupci v kontextu historie i současnosti, parciálně je zde vymezena i problematika postabortivního syndromu. Praktická část zahrnuje kazuistiky žen, které podstoupily interrupční zákrok, také zkoumala jeho psychické následky a výskyt PAS. Součástí výzkumu byly rozhovory se ženami po interrupci a s odborníky s praktickými zkušenostmi daného tématu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the area of abortinon and its potential impact on the mental health of women, focused also on the frequency of mental problems after abortion and the existence Post Abortion Stress Syndrome. The theoretical part deals with the general definition of the topic of abortion, methods of implementation,, offers a view on abortion in the context of history and present, there is a partially defined the issue of Post Abortion Stress Syndrome. The practical part includes case studies of women who have undergone abortion procedure, also examined the psychological consequences and incidence of PASS. Part of the research were interviews with women after abortion and experts with practical experience of the topic.
