Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce mapuje život transgender žen. Teoretická část přináší lepší vhled, popisuje a blíže upřesňuje genderovou inkongruenci. Empirická část se věnuje životu transgender žen. Výzkum se zaměřuje na oblast dětství a dospívání. Dále se studie věnuje životnímu momentu, kdy si trans ženy uvědomily svoji ženskou pohlavní identitu. Výzkum mapuje konverzi pohlaví u jednotlivých participantek. Předmětem bádání jsou reakce okolí na novou pohlavní identitu transgender žen. V neposlední řadě se výzkum zaměřuje na partnerské vztahy genderově inkongruentních žen. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 5 trans žen ve věku 22-50 let. Sběr dat proběhl prostřednictví hloubkový rozhovorů, při němž bylo respondentkám položeno několik otázek z polostrukturovaného dotazníku. Přepsané rozhovory byly podrobeny narativní analýze. Výzkumný vzorek byl sestaven na základě příležitostného výběru a pomocí metody sněhové koule. Výsledky výzkumu popisují jedinečné životy transgender žen ve výše zmíněných aspektech. Dále závěry výzkumu potvrzují některé psychologické teorie, které se věnující vzniku genderové inkongruence. Výroky respondentek byly v souladu s kritérii, jež jsou uvedeny v MNK-10, MKN-11, DSM-5 a zároveň se některá hlediska nepotvrdila. Určité respondentky se potýkaly s poruchami příjmu potravy a s drogovou závislostí. Jedna z participantek se pokusila o sebevraždu a jiná o ni vážně uvažovala. Dále je popsán průběh tranzice. V neposlední řadě jsou uvedeny partnerské zkušenosti trans žen a reakce nejbližších lidí na jejich genderovou inkongruenci.

Abstract:

This master's thesis maps the lives of transgender women. The theoretical part provides a better insight, describes and further specifies gender incongruence. The empirical part focuses on the lives of transgender women. The research is focused on the area of childhood and adolescence. Furthermore, the study deals with the life moment when transgender women realized their female gender identity. The research maps the gender conversion of individual participants.The subject of the research are the reactions of the environment to the new gender identity of transgender women. Last but not least, the research focuses on the romantic relationships of gender incongruent women. The research sample consisted of 5 transgender women aged 22-50. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, during which the respondents were asked several questions from a semi-structured questionnaire. Transcribed interviews were subjected to narrative analysis. The research sample was drawn by random sampling and using the snowball sampling method. The research results describe the unique lives of transgender women. Furthermore, the research findings confirm some psychological theories that address the emergence of gender incongruence. The statements made by the respondents were consistent with the criteria listed in ICD-10, ICD-11, and DSM-5, while some aspects were not confirmed. Certain respondents struggled with eating disorders and drug addiction. One of the participants attempted suicide and another seriously considered it. The research also describes the process of transitioning. Last but not least, the study presents the partnership experiences of transgender women and the reactions of their closest people to their gender incongruence.
