Organization of Online Courses at Universities: from Propositions to Job Positions

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Organizace univerzitních online kurzů: od propozic k pracovním pozicím“ pojednává o procesu tvorby e-learningových kurzů při univerzitách se zaměřením na poskytující podporu od univerzitních e-learningových center. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou nejprve formulovány pojmy „distanční vzdělávání“ a „e learning“, poté je v práci představeno základní členění e-learningu a povinnost školských zařízení k dočasnému přejití na nouzovou distanční výuku vlivem pandemie COVID-19. Dále práce popisuje kompletní vývojový cyklus tvorby online kurzů, který začíná definováním faktorů ovlivňujících celkovou implementaci projektu. Poslední teoretická část zmiňuje základní pedagogické rámce, roli pedagoga jako vyučovatele v online prostředí a časté pracovní pozice, ze kterých jsou mnohdy tvořeny realizační týmy e-learningu. Druhá část bakalářské práce se zabývá analýzou služeb, které nabízejí vybraná e-learningová servisní pracoviště. Praktická část analyzovala tyto služby pomocí metody sběru dat polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a informací z webových stránek pracovišť. Účelem výzkumu bylo zjištění, jakou formu metodické a technické podpory e-learningová centra poskytují v souvislosti s online kurzy. V rámci praktického šetření byla sesbíraná data od čtyř e-learningových pracovišť: Centrum pro podporu e-learningu Univerzity Karlovy, Kancelář e-learningu Centra informačních technologií Masarykovy univerzity, Oddělení koncepce celoživotního a distančního vzdělávání Západočeské univerzity v Plzni a Centrum informačních technologií Slezské univerzity v Opavě.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis “Organization of Online Courses at Universities: from Propositions to Job Positions” deals with the process of creating e-learning courses at universities with a focus on providing support from university e-learning centers. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part formulates the concepts of "distance education" and "e learning", then the thesis introduces the basic division in e-learning and the obligation of temporally switching to emergency distance learning in all school facilities due to the pandemic of COVID-19. The work also describes complete development cycle of creating online courses, which begins with defining the factors influencing the further implementation of the project. The last theoretical part mentions the basic pedagogical frameworks, the role of teachers as teachers in the online environment and frequent job positions which are often formed by e learning implementation teams. The second part of the bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of services provided by selected workplaces of e-learning services. The practical part analyzed these services using methods of data collection based on a semi-structured interview and information from the websites of these workplaces. The purpose of the research was to find out what form of methodological and technical support e-learning centers provide in connection to online courses. The practical survey collected data from 4 e-learning workplaces: Center for the Support of e-learning at Charles University, E-learning Office of the Center of Information Technologies at Masaryk University, Department of the Concept of Lifelong and Distance Education at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and the Center of Information Technologies at the Silesian University in Opava.
