Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Schilderung des Alltagslebens der DDR-Zeit vor dem damaligen politischen Hintergrund. Die Aufmerksamkeit ist vor allem auf die arbeitsproduktive Bevölkerungsschicht gerichtet. Der theoretische Teil beschreibt im Allgemeinen die Bedingungen des installierten sozialistischen Regimes zuerst im Arbeitsbereich und dann in der Sphäre der Freizeit.
