Roman Britain and the Anglo-Saxons
Abstract:
Tato práce popisuje vývoj Britannie, jedné z římských provincií, v období od prvního do pátého století našeho letopočtu. Zaměřuje se především na postupné ovládnutí provincie Římany, její romanizaci a správu. Dále se věnuje porovnání správy a života v tomto období s pozdějším obdobím anglosaské nadvlády po odchodu Římanů.
Abstract:
This thesis describes the development of Britannia, one of the roman provinces, from the first century to the fifth century AD. It focuses mainly on the increasing roman influence, Romanization and administration in that period of time. Next it compares life and administration of that period with the administration of Anglo-Saxons after the departure of Romans.
