Evaluation of the pregnancy of Holstein heifers at ŠZP Žabčice

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na faktory, které ovlivňují zabřezávání jalovic holštýnského plemene na ŠZP v Žabčicích. Z hlediska reprodukce je důležité znát anatomii samičího po-hlavního ústrojí a funkci jednotlivých orgánů. V současnosti je nevyužívanější biotechnickou metodou reprodukce skotu inseminace. Pro úspěšnost inseminace je důležitý relativně krátký okamžik estrálního cyklu – říje. Říje trvá u skotu pouze několik hodin, je tedy důležitá její správná detekce. K následnému určení gravidity se nejčastěji využívá ultrasonografie. Z uvedených výsledků vyplývá, že z 457 pozorovaných jalovic bylo provedeno celkem 1176 kontrol. U 408 jalovic došlo k inseminaci a u 366 jalovic byla detekována pozitivní březost. Bylo zjištěno 100 jalovic zabřezlých po přirozené říji a 266 jalovic po hormonálním ošetření. Procento zabřezlých po první inseminaci bylo 62,99 % a inseminační index 1,43. Celková březost byla zjištěna 89,71 %. Průměrný věk při první inseminaci byl 476,33 dní a statisticky vysoce průkazný rozdíl (P≤ 0,01) byl mezi jednotlivými skupinami zjištěn u průměrné sumy dní mezi kontrolami.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the factors that affect the pregnancy of Holstein heifers at ŠZP Žabčice. From the point of view of reproduction, it is important to know the anatomy of the female reproductive system and the function of individual organs. Currently the most widely used biotechnical method of cattle reproduction is insemination. A relatively short moment in the estheemic cycle of oestrus is important for the success of inseminaton. The heat lasts only a few hours in cattle, so the correct detection is important. Ultrasonography is most often used to determine pregnancy.These results show that a total of 1 176 inspections were carried out on 457 observed hei-fers. Insemination occured in 408 heifers and a positive pregnancy was detected in 366 hei-fers. There were found 100 heifers pregnant after natural oestrus and 266 after hormonal tre-atment. The percentage of pregnant heifers after the first insemination was 62,99 % and the isemination index was 1,43. The total pregnancy was found to be 89,71 %. The mean age at first insemination was 476,33 days and a statistically highly significant difference (P≤ 0,01) was found between the groups for the average number of days between controls.
