Mental illness reflecting in Yayoi Kusama’s artworks
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce má za cíl zjistit, jakým způsobem a v jaké míře se duševní onemocnění promítlo v životě a díle Jajoi Kusamy. Nejprve se budu zabývat tím, jak mentální onemocnění ovlivnilo její mládí, dospělost a uměleckou tvorbu. Poté provedu kvalitativní analýzu jejích tří instalací. Abstract:
This bachelor thesis aims to investigate how and to what extent mental illness has been reflected in the life and work of Yayoi Kusama. I will first examine how mental illness affected her youth, adulthood and artistic output. Then, I will make a qualitative analysis of her three installations.
