The role of a social worker in retirement homes

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je složena ze dvou částí, z teoretické části a aplikační části, které se zaměřují na roli sociálního pracovníka v domovech pro seniory. V první kapitole teoretické části se zabývám sociální prací, její stručnou historií, metodami a teoretickými koncepty sociální práce. Druhá kapitola slouží k přiblížení pojmu sociální pracovník se změřením na role sociálního pracovníka. Třetí kapitola je věnována práci se starými lidmi. Uvádím zde definice pojmu stáří, stárnutí a zmíněná je tam také činnost sociálního pracovníka v domovech pro seniory. Cílem bakalářské práce je, zjistit odpověď na otázku: Jakou roli naplňují ve vybraných zařízeních sociální pracovníci? V aplikační části dochází ke konfrontaci teoretických předpokladů a rolí sociálního pracovníka se skutečnými zkušenostmi dvou sociálních pracovníků domovů pro seniory.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, a theoretical part and an application part, which focus on the role of a social worker in retirement homes. In the first chapter of the theoretical part I deal with social work, its brief history, methods and theoretical concepts of social work. The second chapter serves to approach the concept of social worker with a focus on the role of social worker. The third chapter focuses on working with the elderly people. I present here the definition of the term old age, aging and the activity of a social worker in retirement homes is also mentioned. The purpose of the bachelor's thesis is to find out the answer to the question: what role do social workers fulfill in selected facilities? In the application part there is a confrontation of theoretical assumptions and roles of a social worker with the real experience of two social workers of retirement homes.
