This bachelor thesis deals with representations of Native Americans in the Hollywood films, especially Westerns produced mainly during the first half of the 20th century. The historical background focuses on the situation of Native Americans in the American society. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá reprezentacemi amerických Indiánů v Hollywoodských filmech, obzvláště westernů vyprodukovaných během první poloviny 20. století. Historický kontext poukazuje na situaci amerických Indiánu v americké společnosti. Cílem této práce je popsat stereotypy, které byli filmovým postavám amerických Indiánu přisuzovány.
