Tématem mé bakalářské práce je srovnání dvou literárních hrdinek objevujících se na samém konci devatenáctého století, a to Edny Pontellier z románu Probuzení a Carrie Meeber, hlavní hrdinky Sestřičky Carrie. The subject of my thesis is a comparison of two literary heroines appearing at the very end of the nineteenth century, The Awakening’s Edna Pontellier and Carrie Meeber from Sister Carrie. Fueled by discontent and desire, they set off on a journey for their self-fulfillment, unaware of the inevitability of its failure.
