Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá jaké texty se o Bulharsku ve Francii psaly od obnovení bulharského státu až po začátek první světové války a jaký vytvářely obraz této balkánské země. Hlavním cílem bylo shromáždit prameny k analýze a zhodnotit, jak se o Bulharsku psalo. Byla využita encyklopedická hesla a 10 článků z periodika Revue des deux mondes. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou, která nastíní historický kontext a vzájemné vztahy, a praktickou, která porovnává texty o Bulharsku. Zjištění ukazují, že francouzští autoři se Bulharskem zabývali a jejich názory se měnily od soucitného pohledu před rokem 1878, přes obdivný na konci 19. století, až po znepokojený při vstupu do první světové války. Práce může posloužit jako základ pro další studium francouzsko-bulharských kulturních vztahů v daném období.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis examines what texts were written about Bulgaria in France from the restoration of the Bulgarian state to the beginning of the First World War and what image they created of this Balkan country. The main aim was to collect sources for analysis and to evaluate how Bulgaria was written about. Encyclopedic entries and 10 articles from the periodical Revue des deux mondes were used. The thesis is divided into two parts: a theoretical one, which outlines the historical context and interrelationships, and a practical one, which compares the texts on Bulgaria. The findings show that French authors were concerned with Bulgaria, and their views shifted from a sympathetic view before 1878, to an admiring one at the end of the nineteenth century, to a worried one at the entry into the First World War. The thesis can serve as a basis for further study of Franco-Bulgarian cultural relations in the period.
