Evaluation of Flood Models in the Selected Area of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci jsem popisoval možné druhy povodně a jejich předcházení či omezení velikosti škod prostřednictvím povodňových modelů. V teoretické části mé práce jsem de-finoval a popsal možné varianty povodně a stanovil druhy protipovodňové ochrany. Dále jsem se zabýval problematikou tvorby modelů obecně, popisem konkrétních povodňových modelů a shromaždišť jejich výstupů. V praktické části jsem aplikoval výstupy povodňo-vých modelů na území části města Bohumín. Popsal jsem možné využití jednotlivých druhů výstupů pro krizové řízení a ochranu před povodněmi. A na závěr jsem porovnal rozdíly jednotlivých výstupů z různých povodňových modelů.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis I described the kinds of floods and preventing or limiting the size of damage through flood models. In the theoretical part of my work I defined and described the possible variants of flooding and established kinds of flood protection. I also dealt with the issue of creating models generally and description specific flood models and aggrega-tors of their outputs. In the practical part I applied outcomes flood models on the territory of the town Bohumín. I described the possible use of different types of outputs for emer-gency management and flood protection. Finally, I compared differences of individual outputs from different flood models.
