Grant system in Prague theaters

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce se zabývá grantovou a kulturní politikou hlavního města Prahy, která vyvolala nevoli a následné protesty z řad samotných divadelníků. Snaží se odpovědět na otázky, které trápí v současné době kulturní a divadelní oblast, a najít případná řešení pro jejich zlepšení. V jednotlivých kapitolách nás postupně seznamuje s historií divadelního podnikání v naší zemi s důrazem na dobu první republiky a vývoj v oblasti divadla a kulturní politiky po roce 1989. Následuje část zaměřená na management a marketing, která se zabývá vztahem těchto oblastí k divadelnímu a kulturnímu podnikání a využitím marketingových nástrojů zasazených do tohoto specifického prostředí. Třetí kapitola je věnována divadelní politice a grantovému systému hlavního města Prahy. Jejím cílům, prioritám, modelu divadelních grantů a zásadám pro jejich udělování. V poslední části si řekneme, jak kulturní a divadelní systém funguje ve vybraných zemích Evropské unie a podíváme se na financování divadel v několika evropských městech, na způsob, druhy, principy podpory a jejího přidělování. divadlo, historie, granty, dotace, financování kultury, kultura, kulturní politika, marketing, management, kulturní systémy v zahraničí. Abstract:

The present work deals with the grant and cultural policy of Prague, which causes dissatisfaction and subsequent protests from the artists itself. It seeks to answer the questions that plague the current cultural and theatre area, and finds possible solutions for improvement. The individual chapters gradually introduce us to the history of the theatre business in our country with emphasis on the period of the first republic and the development of theatre and cultural policy after 1989. The following part is focused on management and marketing and their relationship to theatre and cultural business, and using marketing tools set in these specific areas. The third chapter is devoted to theatre policy and the grant system of the capital Prague – their objectives, priorities, models and principles of theatre grants allocation. The last section summarizes how cultural and theatre system operates in selected countries of the European Union and discusses financing of theatres in several European cities, ways, types and the principles of finanancial support and its allocation.
