Summation methods for infinite series

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá sčítacími metodami pro nekonečné řady. Nejprve definujeme konvergenci řady a studujeme nejdůležitější vlastnosti konvergentních řad a kritéria konvergence řad. Také se zabýváme Cauchyho součinem konvergentních řad. V další části práce zavádíme sčítací metody pro nekonečné řady, studujeme regulární lineární sčítací metody jako zobecnění pojmu konvergence řady a definujeme sčítací metody pomocí lineárních transformací posloupnosti částečných součtů řady. Uvádíme větu, která charakterizuje jistou třídu sčítacích metod a dále uvádíme několik vět o Cauchyho součinu sčitatelných řad. V poslední části práce se zabýváme možnostmi využití matematického softwaru při sčítání nekonečných řad pomocí sčítacích metod.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with summation methods for infinite series. First, we define convergence of series and study the most important properties of convergent series and convergence criterions. We also deal with the Cauchy product of convergent series. In the next part of the thesis we introduce summation methods, study regular linear methods as a generalization of the notion of convergence and define summation methods by means of linear transformations of the sequence of partial sums of a series. We state a theorem, which characterizes a class of summation methods and also several theorems about Cauchy product of summable series. In the last part of the thesis we discuss usage of mathematical software for summing infinite series by summation methods.
