The Withdrawal of Germans from the Kaplice Region in Years 1945 and 1946

Abstract:

Odsun Němců z Kaplicka v roce 1945 a 1946. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá událostmi, které následovaly po skončení druhé světové války v okrese Kaplice v jižních Čechách. Cílem této práce je poskytnout bližší informace o průběhu vysidlovacích akcí, namířených proti německému obyvatelstvu v tomto regionu v letech 1945 a 1946. Počáteční odsunové akce německého obyvatelstva v roce 1945 probíhaly velice rychle a bez nějaké hlouběji připravené organizace, toto období je také známé jako „ divoký odsun „. V následném období od srpna 1945 do konce téhož roku se orgány státní správy snažily připravit po organizační a technické stránce odsunový plán, podle kterého se mělo postupovat v budoucnu. Od počátku roku 1946 pak probíhal tzv. organizovaný odsun, při kterém byla jak z kaplického regionu, tak z celé Československé republiky odsunuta většina obyvatel německé národnosti do americké a sovětské okupační zóny v Německu. V následném roce 1947 a později byli již Němci odsunováni do Německa jen dílčími transporty a v daleko menším počtu.

Abstract:

The withdrawal of Germans from the Kaplice region in years 1945 and 1946. This graduation teses considers events, which followed after the end of the Second World War in the region of Kaplice in south Bohemia. The propose of this teses is to afford more accurate information about the expatration process, aimed at the German people living in this region in years 1945 and 1946. The first expatriatrion actions of the German people in year 1945 proceeded very quickly, without any prepared organization and this interval is called „The Violent Displacement.“ In the following period from August to December 1945 the authorities tried to improve the organization and technical respect and make a displacement plan for future times. From January 1946 was proceeding the organized displacement plan. In that time most of the German people had been displaced from region of Kaplice and from all over the Czechoslovakia to the American and Soviet occupation zones in Germany. In the next year of 1947 and later, the German people were displaced to Germany only by a smaller transports of a few people.
