Nursing Care Specifics for an Anxious Geriatric Patient

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá problematikou úzkosti se zaměřením na úzkostné prožívání u seniorů. Je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny základní pojmy úzkost a strach, jsou zde všeobecně popsány příznaky úzkosti a její příčiny. V této části se dále zabývám problematikou stigmatizace psychicky nemocných, diagnosti-kou úzkostných poruch a jejich rozdělením. Dále jsou v teoretické části popsány možnosti léčby úzkosti jak farmakologické, tak nefarmakologické a psychiatrická rehabilitace. Práce se věnuje specifikům ošetřovatelské péče o geriatrické pacienty s úzkostí. U této skupi-ny nemocných je úzkostné prožívání velmi časté a zároveň často podceňované. V praktické části je zrealizován průzkum subjektivního hodnocení úrovně anxiózních příznaků u geriat-rických pacientů metodou dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

My thesis deals with anxiety problems and is focused on anxious emotions felt by seniors. It is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part of my thesis, there are defined fundamental terms anxiety and fear; there are universally described symptoms and their causes. In this part, I deal with problems of stigmatization of mentally sick, and with diagnostics of anxious failures and their categorization. In the theoretical part, I de-scribed anxiety treatment possibilities, pharmacological, non-pharmacological and psychiat-ric rehabilitation. My thesis deals with particularities of the nursing care for anxious geriat-ric patients. Anxiety emotions are very frequent and also often underestimated in this group of ill patients. In the practical part, there is a research of subjective assessment of the level of anxious symptoms in geriatrics patients by the method of questionnaire investiga-tion.
