Linguistic depiction of animated nature in the Russian and the Czech language - Plants

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá jazykovým obrazem živé přírody, konkrétně rostlin, v ruském a českém jazyce. Teoretická část obsahuje stručný vývoj frazeologie, dělení na základě jejích charakteristických rysů a popis jednotlivých větných a nevětných frazémů, ke kterým se řadí přirovnání, rčení, přísloví, pořekadla a pranostiky. Dále je zmíněna dynamika frazeologie, rozdíl mezi živým a neživým a pojetí rostlin ve slovanské mytologii. Vyexcerpované frazémy ve výzkumné části jsou seřazeny abecedně podle názvu rostliny, který obsahují. Ke každé jednotce je připojen stručný význam a značka, dokumentující vztah mezi ruským a českým frazeologickým obratem. Práce současně předkládá symboliku rostlin ve slovanské mytologii.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the linguistic depiction of animated nature, in particular of plants, in the Russian and the Czech languages. The theoretical part contains a brief account of the development of phraseology, classification based on its typical features and a description of individual verbal and non-verbal phrasemes which include similes, sayings, proverbs, maxims and weather lore. It also deals with the dynamics of phraseology, the difference between the animated and inanimate concept of plants in Slavic languages. The practical part contains excerpts of phrasemes listed in alphabetical order according to the name of the plant they include. Each unit contains a brief meaning and a symbol referring to the relationship between the Russian and the Czech phraseological unit. The thesis also presents the symbolism of plants in Slavic mythology.
