The herbal therapy of menstrual and gynecological issues

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá léčbou bylinami v oblasti gynekologie. V teoretické části je popsána historie a současnost léčby. První část práce seznamuje s metodami sběru bylin, sušením, skladováním, obsahovými látkami a doporučením k užívání, včetně bezpečnosti v těhotenství. Druhá část popisuje vybrané gynekologické a menstruační obtíže. U každé z obtíží je popsáno několik rostlin, které se v jejich léčbě osvědčily. Praktickou část práce tvoří analýza dotazníkového šetření, kterého se zúčastnilo 74 respondentek, následuje popis tvorby brožury. Otázky zjišťovaly zkušenosti žen s bylinami zmíněnými v praktické části, účinnost těchto bylin a spokojenost žen s touto metodou léčby. Většina odpovědí potvrdila účinky bylin v dotazníku, přibylo mnoho dalších doporučení pro praxi. Dále je uveden popis tvorby brožury, ve které jsou všechny zjištěné informace stručně shrnuty a sepsány do jednotlivých kapitol. Brožura by měla sloužit jako rychlá příručka pro ženy zajímající se o byliny nebo pro praxi porodní asistentky.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with herbal therapy in gynaecology. The history and development of the treatment are described in the theoretical part. The first part of the thesis introduces methods of herb collection, storage, content substances and recommendations for use including safety measures during pregnancy. The second part describes selected gynaecological and menstrual issues. For each of the issue several herbs have been described which have been proved successful in the treatment. The practical part of the thesis comprises of a survey analysing the responses of 74 respondents, followed by a description of a brochure designing. The questions examined the experience of women with the herbs mentioned in the practical part, their effectiveness and women´s satisfaction with the method of treatment. Most of the answers confirmed the effects of herbs in the survey and many other recommendations for practice were added. Furthermore, a description of the brochure creation is stated. All information is briefly summarized and written into individual chapters in the brochure. The brochure should serve as a quick guide to women interested in herbs or midwife practice.
