The Shrine of St. Maurus - its Creation, History, Restoration and Presentation
Abstract:
Mosánský tumbový relikviář sv. Maura z počátku 13. století patří mezi nejvýznamnější památky České republiky. Tato práce se zabývá jeho zajímavými osudy včetně znovunalezení a restaurování, i otázkou prezentace tak unikátní památky a jejím vlivem na návštěvnost objektu, ve kterém je vystavena.
Abstract:
The Shrine of Saint Maur is one of the most important work of art in the Czech Republic. This work aims to show its genesis and history including its interesting discovering at the Bečov Castle in 1985 and its restauration. Last but not least the presentation of this unique Roman monument of an european importance is considered, as well as its influence on attractivity of the Bečov Castle.
