The eye of the needle-The needle as a method of artistic expression

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá výšivku jako prostředek výtvarného vyjádření a její potenciál v rámci výtvarné výchovy na základních školách. Skrze historický přehled vývoje výšivky v umění 20. a 21. století, autorské experimenty s výšivkou na různých materiálech a aplikaci výsledků ve výuce je cílem práce ukázat, že i prosté objekty a scény mohou být přetvořeny v něco mimořádného a inspirativního. Na základě teoretických poznatků, autorských experimentů a pedagogických aplikací práce nabízí pohled na výšivku jako na prostředek pro rozvíjení kreativity a pozornosti k jemnostem a rozmanitostem v každodenním životě.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis explores embroidery as a means of artistic expression and its potential within art education in primary schools. Through a historical overview of the development of embroidery in 20th and 21st century art, original experiments with embroidery on various materials and the application of the results in the classroom, the thesis aims to show that even simple objects and scenes can be transformed into something extraordinary and inspiring. Based on theoretical knowledge, authorial experiments and pedagogical applications, the thesis offers a view of embroidery as a means to develop creativity and attention to subtleties and diversities in everyday life.
