Self-presentation of Adolescents in Autobiographical Stories

Abstract:

V návaznosti na longitunální studii Elspac se práce zabývá autobiografickými texty patnácti a sedmnáctiletých. V teoretické části práce pojednávám o vývojovém období adolescence s důrazem na kognitivní vývoj, který je pro schopnost vyprávět klíčový, dále na sebepojetí a vývoj narativních schopností v období dospívání. Cílem výzkumu je na základě analýzy autobiografických textů odpovědět na otázky, jak se mění výpovědi dospívajících v jednotlivých oblastech v průběhu dvou let v adolescenci a jakým způsobem se dospívající o vybraných oblastech vlastního života vyjadřují. Jádrem studie je pak srovnání sebeprezentace dvou skupin dospívajících, patnáctiletých a sedmnáctiletých. Výzkumný soubor tvoří adolescenti narození v letech 1991 a 1992, zkoumaní v rámci longitudinální studie Elspac, výzkumným materiálem je 247 autobiografických textů. Povedlo se dokázat, že rozdíly mezi zkoumanými věkovými skupinami se v jejich textech skutečně najít dají. Výstupem práce je také celkový přehled témat, která tvoří sebeprezentaci dospívajících ve zkoumaných autobiografických textech.

Abstract:

Related to longitudinal study Elspac, the work concerns with autobiographical texts of fifteen and seventeen years old children. The theoretical part contains of development part adolescence with an emphasis on cognitive development, which is crucial for the ability to tell, the self-identity and the development of narrative skills in adolescence. The aim of the research is to answer the questions based on analyse of autobiographical texts, how they are changed in the different areas within two years of adolescency and how the adolescents are expressing themself in selected areas. The core of the research is to compare self- presentation of two groups of adolescents, fifteen and seventeen years old. The research file consists of adolescents born in years 1991 and 1992, examined in the context in longitudinal study Elspac, the research material are 247 autobiographical texts. It was proved, that there is actually possible to find some diferences between the age groups. The output of the work is also an overview of topics, which contains self-presentation of adolescents surveyed in autobographical texts.
