Cycle traffic as part of city transport system.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá cyklistickou dopravou ve městě. V úvodní části jsou uvedeny klady a zápory cyklistické dopravy. Následuje členění cyklistiky podle účelu využití a rozdělení cyklistických komunikací. V práci je stručně popsána doprovodná infrastruktura cyklistické dopravy a požadavky na ni kladené. Zmíněna je též cyklistická politika města Olomouc. V poslední části této bakalářské práce jsou vyjmenovány některé programy na podporu cyklistiky a jejich stručný popis.

Abstract:

This bachelor work deals with cycling as a transport mode in towns. Both advantages and disadvantages of cycling are discussed in the introductory part. Next section deals with the division of cycling according to its purpose and the division of cycle paths. The bachelor work briefly describes the accompanying infrastructure of cycle traffic and the demands made on it. The cycling policy of the town of Olomouc is mentioned as well. The final part of the bachelor work presents some programmes promoting cycling and their brief description.
