The occurence of irregular erythrocyte antibodies in recipients of blood transfusion

Abstract:

Moderní krevní transfuze je bezpečný a účinný léčebný výkon, který může být spojen s tvorbou nepravidelných protilátek proti erytrocytům. Bakalářská práce v teoretické části z pohledu nepravidelných erytrocytových protilátek popisuje základní pojmy imunohematologie erytrocytů, charakterizuje nejdůležitější krevní skupinové systémy, metody vyšetření protilátek a jejich klinický význam. Praktická část bakalářské práce uvádí analýzu souboru nepravidelných erytrocytových protilátek u příjemců krevní transfuze vyšetřených v Krevním centru Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava v letech 2006 až 2015. Pozitivní screening protilátek byl detekován u 23 % příjemců erytrocytových transfuzních přípravků a hlavní příčinou jeho pozitivity byly nepravidelné erytrocytové protilátky (66 %). Nejčastěji byly detekovány Rh protilátky (67 %), zejména protilátka anti-D (23 %) a anti-E (19 %).

Abstract:

Modern blood transfusion is safe and effective kind of treatment, which may be associated with the formation irregular erythrocyte antibodies. The theoretical part of Bachelor thesis from the point of view of irregular erythrocyte antibodies describes the basic concepts imunnohematology of erythrocytes, characterizes the most important blood group systems, methods of testing of antibodies and their clinical significance. The practical part shows an analysis of a set of irregular erythrocyte antibodies in recipients of blood transfusion examined at the Blood Centre of University Hospital Ostrava in the years 2006 až 2015. Positive screening of antibodies was detected in 23 % of the recipients of erythrocyte transfusion products and a major cause of the positivity were irregular erythrocyte antibodies (66 %). Rh antibodies were detected the most frequently (67 %), especially the antibody anti-D (23 %) and anti-E (19 %).
