Transformation of the US and China’s positions in Southeast Asia
Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem pozic Spojených států amerických a Čínské lidové republiky v oblasti východní a jihovýchodní Asie. Jejím cílem je, za využití teorie hegemonické stability v pojetí Roberta Gilpina, zjistit, zda v současnosti dochází v tomto regionu k nahrazování Spojených států na pozici regionálního hegemona Čínou.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the evolution of the positions of the United States of America and People’s Republic of China in the region of East Asia and Southeast Asia. Its aim is to find out whether the United States are being replaced by China as a regional hegemon in this region using Robert Gilpin’s hegemonic stability theory.
