Certification in French as a foreign language

Abstract:

This thesis deals in the theoretical part with certificates and diplomas that can be acquired by the students of French language, with the main focus on those that are available for the students from the Czech Republic. This thesis also describes the certification in general, establishes the levels of language knowledge and presents institutions that are involved in the formation or promotion of various French language certificates and diplomas. In addition, the theoretical part of this thesis updates the offer of diplomas and certificates. In the practical part of this thesis the exam DELF scolaire and junior B1 is presented in detail, as this exam can be regarded as the best known and most common one. The main point of this part is an informative model lesson created for the needs of secondary school students who are preparing themselves for this exam. Thanks to this model lesson, students should get an idea of how the test is carried out, of which parts it is composed of and how to proceed in individual parts. Prepared lesson is intended not only for students, but mainly for their teachers who want to prepare well their students.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se v teoretické části zabývá certifikáty a diplomy, které mohou získat studenti francouzského jazyka se zaměřením na ty, které jsou dostupé zájemcům z České republiky. Dále popisuje certifikaci obecně, stanovuje úrovně znalostí jazyka a představuje instituce, které jsou zapojeny do tvorby či propagace různých francouzských jazykových certifikátů a diplomů. Teoretická část této práce navíc aktualizuje nabídku diplomů a certifikátů pro studenty francouzského jazyka. V praktické části této diplomové práce je do detailu představena zkouška DELF junior a scolaire B1, kterou lze považovat za nejznámější a nejběžnější. Stěžejním bodem této části je informativní modelová hodina vytvořená pro potřeby žáků středních škol připravujících se na tuto zkoušku. Pomocí modelové hodiny by studenti měli získat představu, jak zkouška probíhá, z jakých částí se skládá a jak u jednotlivých částí postupovat. Připravená hodina je určena nejen pro studenty, ale především pro jejich učitele, kteří chtějí své žáky na tuto zkoušku dobře připravit.
