Music and Dance for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je rozčleněna do čtyř kapitol a zabývá se názory odborníků hodnotících vliv hudby a tance na rozvoj osobnosti dětí s poruchou autistického spektra (PAS). První kapitola se věnuje stručnému popisu historického vývoje PAS, základní klasifikaci, etiologii a charakteristice těchto poruch. Další kapitola se zabývá osobností dětí s PAS a jejich problematikou v oblasti komunikace, sociální interakce a představivosti. Kapitola třetí popisuje umělecko-terapeutické přístupy, zabývá se některými expresivními terapiemi a vlivem hudby a tance na osobnost dětí s PAS. Čtvrtá kapitola představuje praktickou část diplomové práce a má charakter kvalitativního výzkumu. Její součástí je metodologie výzkumu, charakteristika místa výzkumného šetření, dvě případové studie dětí s PAS a rozhovory s odborníky spolupracujícími s divadelním souborem Slunovrat. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo popsat názory odborníků na vliv hudby a tance v souvislosti s rozvojem osobnosti dětí s PAS. Výsledky výzkumného šetření jsou uvedeny na konci čtvrté kapitoly.

Abstract:

This diploma work is divided into four chapters and deals with the opinions of experts evaluating the influence of music and dance on personality development of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The first chapter is devoted to a brief description of the historical development of ASD, its causes and classification, together with the characteristics of these disorders. The next chapter deals with the personality of children with ASD and their problems in communication, social interaction and imagination. The third chapter describes the artistic-therapeutic approaches and deals with some expressive therapies and with the influence of music and dance on the personality of children with ASD. The fourth chapter represents the practical part of the thesis which is the qualitative research. The research methodology, characterization of the investigation place, two case studies of children with ASD and interviews with experts working with the theater group Slunovrat constitute this chapter. The aim of the investigation was to describe the views of experts on the influence of music and dance on personality development of children with ASD. The results of the investigation are depicted at the end of the fourth chapter.
