Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Analýza třech koncertů pro dechové nástroje Richarda Strausse v kontextu vývoje hudebních stylů 20. století“ se zabývá stylovými specifiky koncertů pro dechové nástroje (hoboj, lesní roh) od Richarda Strausse a jejich začleněním do kontextu jeho tvorby. Autor provádí podrobnou hudebně teoretickou analýzu těchto koncertů a zkoumá problémy interpretační praxe z hlediska stylu a formy. Práce také hledá paralely mezi těmito díly a koncerty jiných skladatelů téže doby, přičemž se zaměřuje zejména na „Ebony Concerto“ od Igora Stravinského.

Abstract:

The thesis „Analysis of Three Concertos for Wind Instruments by Richard Strauss in the Context of the Evolution of Musical Styles in the 20th Century” examines the stylistic specifics of Strauss's concertos for wind instruments (French horn, oboe) and their integration into the context of his overall work. The author conducts a detailed music-theoretical analysis of these concertos, exploring the challenges of interpretative practice from the perspectives of style and form. Additionally, the thesis seeks parallels between these works and the concertos of other contemporary composers, with a particular focus on Igor Stravinsky’s „Ebony Concerto”.
