Preparedness of the Josef Skrkon-Techplast, a.s. for Industry 4.0

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou čtvrté průmyslové revoluce se zaměřením na Průmysl 4.0. Průmysl 4.0 je poměrně novodobý trend, který vnáší do světa revoluční změny týkající se nejen celé naší společnosti, ale především i oblasti průmyslu a průmyslové výroby. Poprvé se tento trend objevil v Německu v roce 2013, v České republice pak o dva roky déle. Proto je Průmysl 4.0 v České republice ve fázi, kdy se nejen stát, ale i firmy s touto problematikou postupně seznamují. Průmysl 4.0 je příležitostí pro firmy, dokáže ovlivnit ekonomiku podniku, jeho konkurenceschopnost, optimalizovat procesy a zvýšit efektivitu a produktivitu práce. Z toho vyplývá, že by mělo být v zájmu firem se co nejdříve na příchod Průmyslu 4.0 připravit a postupně jej zavádět ve vlastním závodě. Cílem práce je zaměřit se na firmu střední velikosti s názvem Josef Škrkoň-Techplast, která působí v automobilovém průmyslu a zjistit její připravenost na současný trend Průmysl 4.0. Pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu zanalyzovat její současný stav z pohledu technologických aspektů konceptu Průmyslu 4.0 s větším zaměřením na její podnikový informační systém ENTRY. Na základě provedeného výzkumu formou rozhovorů posoudit digitální zralost firmy a vyhodnotit tak její připravenost. v rámci práce je také popsán současný stav a přístup českých firem k danému trendu a jsou představeny směry dalšího vývoje Průmyslu 4.0 v ČR, které vycházejí z odborné analýzy českých expertů, jenž se zabývají tématem čtvrté průmyslové revoluce. Úkolem práce je také čtenáře práce seznámit s danou problematikou a obohatit jejich dosavadní znalosti. Práce je napsána formou případové studie.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the fourth industrial revolution, specially focused on the Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 is a relatively modern trend that brings revolution to the whole world and affects not only our entire society but also the whole industry and industrial production. This trend first appeared in Germany in 2013, in the Czech Republic appeared two years later. This is the reason why Industry 4.0 in the Czech Republic is actually in a phase where the state and Czech companies are gradually acquainted with this problematice of Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 is an opportunity for companies and it could influence their business economy, competitiveness, effectiveness, work productivity and optimize their business processes. It means that in the interest of companies shloud be to prepared them on the arrival of Industry 4.0 as soon as possible and gradually introduced Industry 4.0 to their own factory. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to focus on a medium-sized company called Josef Škrkoň-Techplast, a.s., which operates in the automotive industry and find out if company is ready for the implementation of current trend Industry 4.0. Then analyze by qualitative research the current state of company from the perspective of technological aspects of concept of Industry 4.0. with a focus on the company’s enterprise information system ENTRY. On the basis of conducted research assess digital maturity of the company and evaluate its preparedness. This diploma thesis also describes the current state and access of Czech companies to the trend Industry 4.0 and also presents the directions of further development of Industry 4.0 in the Czech Republic. Directions are based on expert analysis of Czech specialists who are interested in the theme of the fourth industrial revolution. The other aim of thesis is to acquaint the readers of thesis with Industry 4.0 and provide them with new knowledge of this thema. The diploma thesis is written in the form of case study.
