Smart Tools for Shell Composite Structures

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tvarovatelnými a opakovaně použitelnými nástroji - tzv. "Smart Tools" - pro výrobu kompozitů. Cílem této práce je vyhledat odborné technické články a jiné podobné zdroje zabývající se tímto tématem, vypracovat literární rešerši, popsat problematiku Smart Tools a následně vyrobit součástku z kompozitu pomocí Smart Toolingu a pomocí klasického vyskládání do formy. Tyto dva výrobky pak budou porovnány. Práce se dělí na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Na základě nalezené literatury je v teoretické části popsána metodika přípravy a výroby skořepinových kompozitů pomocí Smart Tools. Praktická část se zabývá výrobou formy pro Smart Tool a formy pro kompozitový výrobek, výrobou samotného Smart Toolu a výrobou kompozitní trubky pomocí výše zmíněné metody. Na závěr budou vyhodnoceny dosažené výsledky.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with formable and reusable tools - so called "Smart Tools" - for the production of composites. The aim of this thesis is to search for technical articles and other similar sources concerning this topic, to work out a literary research, to describe the Smart Tool issue and then to manufacture a composite component using the Smart Tooling method and the classic lay-up into the mould. These two products will then be compared. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. Based on the literature found, the theoretical part describes the methodology of preparation and production of shell composites using Smart Tools. The practical part deals with the production of a mould for the Smart Tool and a mould for the composite part, the production of the Smart Tool itself and the production of the composite tube using the above mentioned method. At the end, the achieved results will be evaluated.
