Abstract:

V roce 1895 mírová smlouva ze Šimonoseki označila konec první čínsko-japonské války a na základě dohody byl Tchaj-wan postoupen Japonsku. Během následujících padesáti let japonské koloniální nadvlády Japonsko rozšiřovalo svůj vliv na Tchaj-wanu. Po stanovení své koloniální správy zahájilo Japonsko přizpůsobení nové ideologie a provádění asimilační politiky na Tchaj-wanu, což mělo dopad na mnoho oblastí sociálního a kulturního života Tchajwanců. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá sociálně-kulturní stránkou transformace, kterou Tchaj-wan prošel v období japonské koloniální nadvlády. S cílem rozšířit svůj vliv nad tchajwanskou společnosti, japonská správa používala vzdělání jako nástroj své politiky a prováděla změny, které ovlivnily vzdělávací systém, kulturní život a architekturu v kolonii. Každý z těchto zmíněných aspektů je velmi důležitý, jelikož každý z nich odráží sociální a kulturní hodnoty té doby. Proto se daná práce pokouší vzít v úvahu široké spektrum sociální a kulturní sféry Japonského vlivu na Tchaj-wanu, které zahrnuje vzdělání, náboženství, kulturní scénu a architekturu. Japonské koloniální období hraje důležitou roli ve vývoji současné tchajwanské kultury. Navzdory globalizaci je Japonské architekturní dědictví stále přítomno na Tchaj-wanu. Tato práce se také zabývá Japonským architekturním dědictvím a zkoumá vybrané příklady koloniální architektury, která odráží sociální, politickou, kulturní a náboženskou situaci v kolonii. Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je zobrazit transformaci sociokulturního prostředí na Tchaj-wanu, která proběhla během padesáti let Japonské koloniální éry, pomocí kompilace dat, které byly získány z příslušných zdrojů. Na základě informací, které byli výzkumníci již dříve schopni odhalit a prozkoumat, se tato práce pokouší o demonstraci historického procesu konkrétně ze sociálně-kulturní perspektivy.

Abstract:

In 1895, the Treaty of Shimonoseki marked the end of the first Sino-Japanese war, and according to the agreement, Taiwan was ceded to Japan. For the period of fifty years of Japanese colonial rule that followed, Japan was expanding its influence over Taiwan. After establishing its administration, Japan began adapting a new ideology and implementing an assimilation policy in Taiwan, which had impact on many spheres of social and cultural life of the Taiwanese people. This bachelor thesis deals with the sociocultural side of the transformation that Taiwan has undergone, during the period of Japanese colonial rule. This side includes such aspects as education, language and religion, among others. In order to expand its influence over the Taiwanese society, Japanese administration was using education as a tool of their policies. The Japanese implemented changes that have affected the education system, cultural life of the Taiwanese and also architecture in colonial Taiwan. Each of these aspects is very important, they reflect social and cultural values that were prior to that time. Therefore, this study attempts to take into consideration a wide spectrum of social and cultural spheres of Japanese influence, including education, religion, cultural scene and architecture in colonial Taiwan. Japanese colonial period played an important role in the formation of Taiwan’s contemporary culture. Despite the globalization, Japanese architectural heritage is still present in Taiwan. This thesis also deals with Japanese architectural cultural heritage, it investigates selected examples of colonial architecture that reflects social, political, cultural and religious state in colonial Taiwan. The main goal of this thesis is to display the transformation of the sociocultural environment in Taiwan during the fifty years of Japanese colonial era, by compiling data extracted from previous relevant studies. Using information that researchers were previously able to uncover and explore, this study attempts to present a complex historical process specifically from an array of sociocultural perspective.
