Wounding effect of category "D" firearms and its quantified evaluation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část obsahuje čtyři tematicky odlišné kapitoly. První kapitola definuje palné zbraně kategorie D, řeší současnou právní problematiku, přípravu nové zbraňové legislativy a technickou normalizaci palných zbraní kategorie D. Druhá kapitola stručně specifikuje funkční princip palných zbraní kategorie D. Rozděluje tyto zbraně podle konstrukční a účelové rozdílnosti do čtyř samostatných skupin, které jsou v následujících kapitolách bakalářské práce podrobeny výzkumu. Třetí kapitola definuje základní problematiku balistiky se zaměřením na ranivou balistiku. Obsahuje kritéria i metody hodnocení ranivého potenciálu a metody kvantifikovaného hodnocení ranivého potenciálu malorážových střel. Součástí kritéria StP je vlastní ověření koeficientu pro převod výsledku rovnice z angloamerických jednotek na soustavu SI. Čtvrtá, poslední kapitola teoretické části bakalářské práce, definuje náhradní materiály živých tkání se zaměřením na balistickou želatinu, možnosti její výroby a kalibrace. Praktická část je rozdělena na dvě samostatně řešené kapitoly. Pátá kapitola obsahuje postup výroby a uchovávání želatinového bloku mimo podmínky laboratorního prostředí. Řeší praktickou možnost kalibrace a ovlivnění vlastností želatinového bloku skladováním do doby 72 hodin. Šestá kapitola je nejobsáhlejší částí bakalářské práce. Obsahuje praktické balistické experimenty vybraných konstrukčních typů palných zbraní kategorie D. V šesté kapitole jsou využity metody kvantifikovaného hodnocení ranivého potenciálu. Součástí kapitoly je i posouzení a hodnocení ranivého potenciálu podle získaných výsledků a teoretických poznatků celé bakalářské práce. Závěr je část, která stručně hodnotí vlastní postup zpracování a dosažení cílů bakalářské práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains four thematically different chapters. The first chapter defines firearms of category D, discusses current legal issues, preparation of new weapons legislation and technical standardization of category D firearms. The second chapter briefly specifies the functional principle of category D firearms. It divides these weapons according to design and purpose differences into four separate groups, which are subjected to research in the following chapters of the bachelor's thesis. The third chapter defines the basic issues of ballistics with a focus on wounding ballistics. It contains criteria and methods for evaluating the wound potential and methods for quantified evaluation of the wound potential of small arms. Part of the "StP" criterion is the self-verification of the coefficient for converting the result of the equation from Anglo-American units to the SI system. The fourth, last chapter of the theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis, defines the replacement materials of living tissues with a focus on ballistic gelatin, the possibilities of its production and calibration. The practical part is divided into two independently solved chapters. The fifth chapter contains the procedure of production and storage of gelatin block outside laboratory conditions. It solves the practical possibility of calibration and influencing the properties of the gelatin block by storage for up to 72 hours. The sixth chapter is the most comprehensive part of the bachelor thesis. It contains practical ballistic experiments of selected construction types of category D firearms. The sixth chapter uses methods of quantified evaluation of wound potential. Part of the chapter is also the assessment and evaluation of wounding potential according to the obtained results and theoretical knowledge of the entire bachelor's thesis. The conclusion is the part that evaluates the actual process of processing and achieving the purpose of the bachelor's thesis.
