This bachelor thesis focuses on translation of the American TV show Masterchef. It analyzes problems that may appear in translation. It discusses the combination of genres Masterchef consists of and the importance of maintaining the impact of the source text on its audience. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem amerického televizního pořadu Masterchef. Analyzuje problémy, které se mohou v překladu objevit. Pojednává o kombinaci žánrů, ze kterých se Masterchef skládá a o důležitosti zachování vlivu, který má výchozí text na svou cílovou skupinu diváků.
