Prekmurje – Tradition and the Present

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Zámuří – tradice a současnost“ podává obraz o tomto slovinském regionu, popisuje zdejší tradice a zvyky, svátky, pojednává o tradičních jídlech, řemeslech – např. vinohradnictví, mlynářství, hrnčířství – která se zachovala z minulosti, o lidových tancích a kroji, který nosili a nosí lidé v této oblasti. Práce nás seznámí s nejvýznamnějšími městy regiónu – Murskou Sobotou a Lendavou, s jejich památkami, a rovněž se životem zde žijící maďarské menšiny.

Abstract:

The Bachelor’s thesis called “Prekmurje – tradition and the present day” provides an insight into this Slovenian region, depicts local traditions and customs, festivals, deals with traditional food, crafts – e.g. viticulture, milling, pottery – which have been preserved from the past, folk dances and costumes that have been worn by people of this region. The work will introduce the most important cities of the region – Murska Sobota and Lendava, their landmarks as well as the life of the Hungarian minority living there.
