Práce se zabývá kauzálním vztahem mezi klimatickou změnou a konfliktem, který je zkoumán na případu násilného konfliktu v súdánském regionu Dárfúr. Cílem studie je ověřit, zda je zkoumaný konflikt ovlivněn klimatickou změnou, a pokud ano, jak k tomu dochází. Práce testuje teoretický syntetizovaný kauzální model, vytvořený H. Buhaugem, N. Abstract:
The thesis deals with the causal relationship between climate change and conflict which is tested on the case of the violent conflict in the Sudanese region of Darfur.
