History of wine cellars in the village Strachotín

Abstract:

Předložená práce mapuje především architektonický ale i vlastnický vývoj téměř šedesáti sedmi objektů sloužících k zpracování vína. Zkoumanou lokalitou byla obec Strachotín, tedy její Sklepní ulice. Konkrétní stavby byly vybrány na základě mapového vyobrazení z roku 1825. Ty byly pak identifikovány se součastnými parcelami. Díky dochovanému fotografickému materiálu si můžeme vytvořit představu o stavebním vývoji těchto staveb, které prošly od svého vzniku, tj. 2. poloviny 18. století, na základě pohnutých dějin různými proměnami. Jedním z posledních nepříznivých okamžiků bylo vybudování Vodního díla Nové mlýny, kdy se z této lokality stává rekreační oblast a to vede její obyvatele k přestavbám sklepů (lisoven). V některých případech byly z původních objektů vybudovány až na několikapatrové penziony, proto je v současnosti Sklepní ulička turisticky vyhledávaná, avšak z historického hlediska není atraktivní. Obec Strachotín se nachází v nově osídleném pohraničí po 2. světové válce. Právě díky těmto skutečnostem byla lokalita zastíněna jinými sklepními uličkami a areály.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis maps primarily architectural and proprietary development of almost sixty-seven installations that are used for a wine processing. Researched locality was Sklepní Street in the village Strachotín. Concrete buildings were selected on the basis of map pictures from 1825. Those were then identified with the present-day plots. The preserved photographic material enabled us to create an idea about structural development of these buildings, which have gone through various changes since their origin in the second half of the 18th century. One of the latest unfavourable moments for this locality was creation of hydraulic structure Nové Mlýny. Thanks to Nové Mlýny this locality has become holiday resort, where residents have decided to reconstruct their original wine cellars into multi-storey boarding houses. These reconstructions are reason why Sklepní Street is on the one hand frequented by tourists, but on the other hand why is not that attractive from the historical point of view anymore. Village Strachotín is situated in newly populated borderlands, where settling started after the World War II. This is also the reason why this locality was overshadowed by other cellar streets and buildings.
