Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce se věnuje internetovým memům z hlediska jejich využití na ruské sociální sítě Vkontakte. První část práce se bude věnovat memům jako nové formě internetové komunikace. Zaměříme se na otázku, jestli jsou memy pouze formou zábavy nebo jsou schopné poskytovat i náročnější druhy informace. Zjistíme, co vlastně znamená pojem „internetový mem“, jaké mají funkce a jak je možné klasifikovat. Ve druhé části se zaměříme na specifika ruskojazyčných internetových memů, vyskytujících se na sociální síti Vkontakte. Cílem práce je prozkoumat fenomén internetových memů z hlediska jejich využití v rámci dvou konkrétních virtuálních skupin na Vkontakte: zpravodajské komunity Lentač a vzdělávacího kanálu Obrazovač.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with phenomenon of internet memes and their using within Russian social network Vkontakte. First part will be devoted to the concept of internet memes as a new form of internet-communication. We will focus on the question, if internet-memes are just a form of amusement or it can provide us with more sophisticated kinds of information. We will reveal the definition of term “internet meme”, we will find out the kinds of function they have and we will try to classify them. On the second part of this thesis we will focus on the specifics of using Russian internet memes within social network Vkontakte. The aim of this thesis is to analyze phenomenon of internet memes in terms of their use by two particular virtual communities on Vkontakte: intelligence community Lentach and educational channel Obrazovach.
