Anotace: Bakalářská práce „Byzanc na cestě k církevní unii“ mapuje pokusy o znovusjednocení církve mezi Byzancí a latinským Západem v letech 1261 – 1453. Hlavní část práce se pak věnuje basilejsko-ferrarsko-florentskému koncilu, na kterém byla církevní unie nakonec slavnostně vyhlášena. Abstract: The bachelor thesis „Byzantium on its way to ecclesiastic union“ reports on the attempts of reuniting the Church between Byzantium and the latin West from 1261 to 1453. The major part of the thesis deals with the Council of Basil-Ferrara-Florence, where the ecclesiastic union was eventually ceremonially declared.
